The Haughs is a mixed farm engaged in rotational cropping plus the rearing of beef cattle and sheep. The farm and it's buildings are less busy now as we rent the land to a neighbouring farmer. Therefore if you wish to see a busy working farm you may choose to stay elsewhere. However for those wishing a farmhouse stay without some of the more traditional farm smells this may be ideal!
We have an account of some of the past owners and tenants of the farm since circa 1614. We hope to publish this on the web in due course. |
